A robot arm in a SF warehouse was assembling pizzas — dough, sauce, toppings on a conveyor, no human touching any of it. Drove with a friend afterwards to a terrace, where two more turned up by sunset and the City Hall dome went gold. We clinked glasses like people who somehow ended up in the same city at the same time. Two weeks in town and I already had a rooftop.
